My July
My tangled hair as intricate as winding mountain roads
My tender being, as delicate as a crisp snowflake
My pale eyes as pleasing as a moon eclipse
My intrepid soul as wild as the amazon
My poetry is a flowing stream
My poetry is a soaring bird
My poetry is gold
I am a June afternoon
I am cold ocean waves
I am a windy sunset sky
You are my flower and I am a sea of bees
You are water and I am a garden
You are soft clouds and I am thunder and lightning
You are roses and I am a thorn
Skin resembling soft sun on a rainy summer day
Eyes as the water on an overcast day
Hair expressing the uniqueness of seaweed
Smile as the dandelion on the bank, attentive and true
Body reflecting the bumps in the sand, curved, flawed
Beautiful.
Personality like the young child ravaging sand toys
Strength as the waves crashing on the shore
Heart strong as the umbrella, protective and defensive
Soul as the wind, touching all and going far
Living as the ocean, tranquil, limitless
Free.
It’s magical
The way your hands can touch me
Without a flinch of my soul
The way your dreams can pursue mine
The way children play
The way your laugh can drown me
In the warm waters of your smile
The love you show me is
Truly and purely,
Magic.
