Through Life Comes Color
Rough leather was gently smoothed over back and forth by her small, svelte fingers. The sky was a common powder blue and the rays trickling down from the sun bent awkwardly, shining past the window and bouncing off in all directions.
The door of a large vehicle was slowly pushed open, swinging as it softly tapped against the side of a long steel rim. The door hung there until the wind forced it to snap back against the steel.
The sweet smell of green seeped into the space occupying the young girl. Her nose twitched and her mind unconsciously flicked distant memories through her eyes. Her eyes -- they were deep like the ocean -- their faded shade soon flashing with color.
Grabbing onto the cold rim, she stepped down to the ground, the dirt at her feet swirling in the wind. She slowly lifted her head, yet her neck pulled downward. The warmth before her was truly captivating. Green. The smell of green.
