It’s 7:15 p.m.
And my cursor is blinking
As I begin typing out
Everything I’ve ever wanted to tell you
But I cannot make myself press send
Because to open up is to be vulnerable
And to be vulnerable is to be at your mercy
You are a merciless angel
With a halo sharp enough
To cut the gold of your heart
I watch my cursor move
Erasing all proof of this
You can do better
It’s 7:18 p.m.
