Glasses
I am fourteen
And my glasses have betrayed me
The frames I cannot live without
Still fall off my face
Very noticeably
How come my lens’ are
Always so dirty
What if I die
Before I adjust my glasses
And the lens’ are always dirtying
With nothing touching them.
I have to learn how to see
Without my glasses
My glasses are too big for me
Suppose I die before I fix them
They will sing sad songs
About me
Say in honesty
There is nothing I want to adjust
And too much
Has to be adjusted
And the lens’ are always dirtying
With nothing touching them.
Nobody even stops to think
About my side of it
I should have smaller glasses
My eyes were better than his
Why do I have to be
The one
To fix
I have nothing to fix tomorrow
Will I live long enough
To adjust my glasses
And the lens’ are always dirtying
With nothing touching them.
