The Storm
The freighter tipped left and right
As the waves tumbled over the bow
Minutes turned into hours, I wish it would end now
The gusts of wind echoed as a terrifying howl
While men hid under the deck
They feared the worse of a mangled wreck
Water began to build up,
adding to the immense weight of the cargo
The ship dove deeper into each wave
And the captain rang in that we would not see tomorrow
Worries quickly turned into dread
The last place I want to end up is on the ocean bed
Men began to make their peace
As the violence of the storm continued to increase
A loud burst came from the top of the ship
As the boat began to sink and dip
