Society
used to rely on the mirror and what others thought of me
I let them form my own opinion of myself
I let society decide if I was pretty by if I was skinny enough
I didn’t look like the models in the magazines but society never taught me that the model doesn’t even look like herself in the magazine
I let society tell me if I was worthy
But my biggest mistake was that I never asked me
I never asked myself if I was worthy of my own love
But I guess it wasn’t my fault because society also never taught me that my opinion mattered
But through all of this society has taught me one very important lesson that I have to start teaching society.
