The Foolishness of Optimism
Why be or think positive?
When people will just knock you down,
like they do an old building that
has the potential to be something good.
You try looking at the bright side of things,
but the darkness seems to be more powerful.
I try so hard to be confident
saying that the day will go well,
but there's always someone
that pours their negativity over me.
Turning my sunny day turn into a storm.
A tornado, tearing my house into shreds.
And by my house, I mean
my feelings and emotions.
I knew not to be confident, or get my hopes up,
Because there's always someone to bring me down
