This Too Shall Pass
December 11, 2017
Essays due Tuesday night,
Math test first period,
History worksheets due Monday,
Cold competitions in New Jersey
And there is only two days.
Time never stops
It feels as if it is trying to race me
Until I give up,
Out of breath.
I will not give up.
My teammates remind me that
It is okay to feel suffocated by tasks,
This too shall pass.
Coming home from practice to my family,
Getting a bear hug and wet slobbery kiss from my baby brother
Forces me to relax
And feel loved before anything else.
