Anticipation —As the excitement build for what lies beyond the doors ahead, I don’t know what I should expect.
Brilliant—As I enter the room, brilliance was all I could think of.
Captivating—As a butterfly lands on my shoulder, it flaps its vividly colored wings.
Dazed—As the butterfly takes flight through the crowd, it  decides where to  land next.
Entertaining—As the children chase butterflies, they attempt to catch them.
Fazed—As I walk by the elegant waterfall and take in the warm, tropical climate, I felt like I was in a different world.
Graceful—As I look up to see butterflies painting a picture across the sky.
Happiness—As my first thought when I see these creatures, they’re  something I aspire to learn from.
Insightful—As diversity emulates from each species, my individuality is  equally important.
Jubilant—As my aspirations surface in my mind, I wonder,  what can I achieve?
Key—As I remember my successful moments, who I am, and who I want to be.
Lively—As I search relentlessly for butterflies among the plants, my only thought concludes to glee.
Memorable—As I find one extracting pollen from a fiery red heliconia flower, as if it was the only flower in the world.
Nurturant—As it transfers the pollen over to other plants, providing life and growth to all.
Optical—As I once again glance at the room, only believing that it’s an illusion staring me in the face.
Painted—As I visualize these butterflies in the Costa Rican rainforest, in vast arrays of colors.
Quirky—As the butterflies play with each other effortlessly through the air, free of any restraints.
Royal—As they are majestic, they radiate and play with beauty like no other.
Skillful—As these majestic creatures dance across the sky, they appear effortless.
Tricky—As they fly into the crowd, not knowing who or what they will land on.
Unrevealed—As people’s impressions, of them, are notably unique in a single  expression.
Vast—As I, once again, realize the diversity written across the sky.
Wondrous—As if I can find my happiness in life and achieve my goals.
Xerophytic—As if I can adapt to the world while staying true to myself, just like a butterfly.
Yielding—As I have the key to unlock my potential for success.
Zesty—As I find a happiness similar to the life of a butterfly.

The author's comments:

This piece was written for a museum poetry competition in a nearby community to me. We were given the choice of which exhibit to write about about and I chose a butterfly vivarium. I feel as if my message was clear, even if some sentences are not complete ones, making my writing a little more unique.
