The Will of The Body
He was first buried by his life’s burdens.
Then again by his failures.
Then again by his own casket.
And then once more through sediments and piles of gravel that lay above him
Gasp of air, taken away
An opportunity, stolen by another
Acceptance aspired, rejection accepted, although unwillingly
Meditation, disturbed and uncontinuous-------
By Life's burdens he was truly buried
Prescriptions, all of which worked against his body
Four children, all who was ever-influenced by their father’s actions
Lives he could save, all but his.
The time was too late.
Adjusting fibers of his body, muscles of his skeletal arms,
Gasp of air, now inhaled
Rejection, he refused,
An opportunity, he attempted to seize.
But the time was too late.
