I want to talk about disabilities
To the isolated kids
alone in the corner of the room,
Feeling defeated.
To the kids who only want to be treated like everyone else.
To the kids rejected by colleges because they couldn’t communicate.
To the parents financially with money
unable to provide like their neighbors.
You are not alone.
I want to talk about bullying
For those who say cruel things
about others struggling to speak.
For those who make fun of those struggling to make a single friend,
walking alone in the hallway,
sitting in a corner of the cafeteria.
For the kids who come home to sadness
with their salty tears wetting purple bruises no one sees.
To those being bullied,
hateful names spit at them,
beaten in the shadows behind the school.
To those who are sad
and afraid
and silenced by the popular,
paralyzed by fear.
To those who are depressed
battling the darkness
for years.
You are not alone.
For i have seen
the growing weeds
Struggling to fit in,
wanting to be loved
and accepted.
Keep your head up high
Achieve your dreams.
Love who you are.
Do not crumble at the raid of arrows of the hurtful words.
You are capable of doing anything
even though you have a disability.
Just believe in yourself.
You can achieve anything you want.
I want to talk about disabilities
To all those masking there scars
caused  by cutting and searing of shrapnel wounds
Exploding from the depth of human insecurity and despair
May you find the courage to fight the battle, exposing those scars, and healing wounds
I want to talk about disabilities
