Society
You're priveledged and you stand in an image that you've been given. You don't work for anything, but you expect everything. Your hands are open to take but never out to give. The only time you run is when you see "hardwork" or "commitment", otherwise you walk on that paved road of ill decisions. You're perfectly fine with telling everyone how to live, but you can't take a lick of advice when someone mentions your vice. You control and manipulate the crowd. You captivate them with your souless eyes, closing your ears when you hear their cries. When someone has a real problem you dissipate. You are SOCIETY, you you are ANXIETY. You are the world and all its lies to me.

Society tells you how to be you. It tells you how you're suppose to live, how to be happy, how to be succesful, how to act but when you truly need help with a probem, society isn't there for you. This poem is about being yourself and not letting society rule the way you live or the way you think. Always be an individual. Always be You, no matter what.
