you are... MAG
you are the soup on a very cold day
the tea when i have a stomach ache
you are definitely the hug from a teddy bear
  when i am a child
you are the dandelions on the lawn that i pick for you
you are the song that we sing in the rain
you are the leaves when they change color in the fall
you are the pool in the summer, the one with the slide
but you are not those leaves when they fall off that tree
you are the seal, but not the shark that’s hunting it
you are not the news on the television
however, you are the cartoons that i watched for hours in awe
i am the kid looking at the manatees at the zoo
  when i look at you,
i’m the big eyes when a child sees a candy shop
and now, i am the last leaf left on a tree in the fall
but don’t you worry, you are still the song we sing in the rain
you are still the soup on a very cold day
and you are definitely still the hug from a teddy bear
  when i am a child
