Love is a Killer
Love
A word we all know, but seem to ignore
It can be sweet as a cherry pie
And as tender as a perfectly cooked steak
But, under that masquerade of sweetness and kindness
It is a killer in a mask
Love is not a conventional serial killer
Like Bundy or Dahmer
It never gets caught for its murderous intent
It always slides right past you
Secretly hiding, secretly killing
