Vast Expanse of Nothingness
Nothing.
We are nothing.
The unknown,
the mistakes,
the fears.
So small that,
even a grain of sand,
could engulf them.
Created from dust
our lives diminish.
For they,
in the grand scheme of the universe,
mean nothing.
Do I mean nothing to you?
Or what is it that makes my nothing your something?
This poem focuses on our place in the universe and helps us come to realization that we are small in comparison. The poem focuses on the universe as in the world and its expanses and also a universe for a person which could include relationships.
