Where I Am From
I am from learning life—
going through whatever outcomes it brings.
From challenges, cherishing and confusion.
I am from a home—
with conflicts and arguing.
From, love, laughter and loyalty.
I am from a family of five with two siblings—
a protective younger brother with boyfriends and nosy sister wondering what I'm doing every second.
From growing relationships, guiding one another, and greed.
I am from Mom and Dad, open minded and brave—
“Be tough, I didn't raise you to not be.” and “Have fun. Time goes by too fast too be wasted.”
From inspiring, long-lasting love, and life saving.
I am from nowhere exhilarating—
a community of stereotypes and criticism.
From wealth, wondering, and welcoming.
I am from Arrowhead High School—
smart and engaging.
From studying, sport events, and saving grades.
I am from my favorite season; Summer—
What kids look forward too all year, enjoy yourself and free of stress.
From sun-kissed skin, sweet smiles, sensational memories.
I am from friends that are family—
creating memories that last a lifetime.
From accepting, affectionate, and appreciative.
I am from learning life—
going through whatever outcomes it brings.
From challenges, cherishing and confusion.
