Playful Spirit
Playful Spirit,
Your actions cripple my ankles
like an illegal slide tackle in soccer
But I can’t recall why you have done so
I do remember when we played on the same team
And we would be the two best like George Best
And you, Luke, and I would form triangles for passing
Like the pros Messi, Suarez, and Neymar
By your freshman year you were becoming one of the team’s best
Scoring goals left and right giving us the win
Making us yell in joy of your goals
Your make great passes for assist
You even take the best free kicks
The wonderful goals make us cringe
Like we are biting into a sour lemon
Sitting on the sideline waiting for you to score
You always took a lifetime, but when you scored
It showed how to play the beautiful game
You lifted the team's spirit with
Your goals and humor
We will forever miss you until you return
