Fall Nights at There Best
I look out at the football game,
sitting with me a group of my most closest friends.
The game is tied,
we are all wearing different shades of pink shirts.
Tonight is an extra special game
, it’s the pink out game supporting breast cancer.
Looking straight up at the sky
I see light,
sprawled out almost translucent clouds,
with glistening stars shining between.
The horizon meets the scoreboard
with a mix of oranges, deep reds and navy blues.
I can see my team
working hard on the field
playing their best.
I can also see cheerleaders
dressed head to toe
in little maroon and white cheer outfits,
leading on catchy cheers
making the crowd scream and shout.
I hear the roar of the crowd,
Milwaukie is in the lead again.
In the distance
I hear people laughing and talking.
Faintly
you can hear fallen leaves rustle
in the evening breeze.
Touching the bench
I feel goosebumps form up my arm,
bring chills to my spine.
The metal bench is cold
and rock solid.
I feel excitement over power me
as Milwaukie scores another point.
My stomach feels warm
with delicious cinnamon cider sloshing inside.
Leaving this wonderful night
I take with me only positive,
happy feelings
and a memory
that will last a lifetime..
