The First Snow
Finally, the first snow.
Snowflakes were all I could see.
I watched them flow.
One, two, three.
They each landed on my tongue,
I could taste the cold.
As my eyes flung,
It was just as beautiful as I had been told.
All I could see was white,
It was pure, and it covered the street.
Only a few bare tree branches were in sight,
Drenched, were my feet.
It sparkled, and my eyes lit up.
Lumps of snow were flying through the air, some children took a blow,
Others were drinking hot chocolate, from a red and green cup.
Finally, the first snow.
