Look at me and what do you see, just another black girl trying to be free. Now look at me and what do you see I’m just a white girl who doesn’t need to be free.
I am black
I am white
But what do those true colors really mean
How about I just rob a store; what color do you think I assume to be or maybe get a scholarship to one of the best universities across the country. See you can’t judge a book by its cover if you know what I mean.
I am black
I am white
But white has the best meaning
You can apply for a Job and get hired quick as a heartbeat or maybe label yourselves the best in the city
WHO wants to rule the world, of course we all know what that means if you can’t get a job then you're below me.
We all label each other but blacks get labeled more
I am defiant if I remove myself
I am bipolar if I give in more
They consider my language as being ghetto, but who knew such a thing ghetto wasn’t even a word
Or maybe being the most popular with the best car but not causing any harm
See this is the difference between me and you I have to try you don’t even have to tie a shoe
You can’t compare blacks nor you can’t compare whites but we can stand together and fight against the word
RACISM is not the key

The author's comments:

I decided to write a poem about what's going on in the world this inspired me because I see lot's of people around the world complaining about racism but I see some people aren't putting an end to it.I gave my thoughts and ideas but I made a poem just to describe how I see things.
