Change
He’s the calm during the storm
as the forest topples over.
He was the graceful wind against my cheeks,
but this wild fling turned into a cold reality.
Leaves rattled along the trees
with each gust hinting “Get Out!”
The vast vines twisted tightly around my heart like a trap--
at no time could I escape.
It was a pleasure enjoyed by the malicious winds
and intense lightning cracks
as the rain trickled down my body.
I could feel myself slipping away
every word he spoke,
rapidly taking hard turns to whisper resentment in my ears,
spiralling around with the wind and embracing my hair,
repeating over and over,
following every foot step I made,
smothering each breath I took.
Alone …. In this vicious woodland.
The outsider,
all eyes staring into me.

I was inspired by the rough times in high school. The most relatable thing anyone has any kind of connections with are breakups during highschool, not just from my point of view and my experiences but others aswell. I hope that other people my age read this and realize their not alone in situations as bad as theirs.
