The Shattered Truth
She looked at the stained, glass window, that speaks the hidden truth
Truth that has been buried for too long,
Long enough that the window is starting to crack, that will
lead to the shattered truth of secrets,
Secrets that will begin to break...
She stared blankly through the fragile window,
Hearing...Nothing, but silence like a graveyard contained by the night,
Silence so pure you can hear a pencil drop...
Without warning she heard the cry of the rain start to drizzle down from roof top.
*CRACK* she snaps back, heart racing, adrenaline rushing, knowing that she has moments
MOMENTS before the truth is revealed.
She starts to pray,
Praying for God to give her the strength to be brave,
The window let out another gut wrenching crack,
The sound grew louder and louder, as though there are many individuals
Crumpling paper, tears stream down her pale face, dripping on the base of the window,
Now knowing that in a few gruesome seconds her life will become unglued..
She threw her head into her hands, curled up into a tiny ball trying so desperately to
Block it all out, but then
All of a sudden... the room turns mute...
She peels her hands from her face, lifts herself off from the cold, wooden floor
And studies what she thought was the end, but there's, no more cracks, no more stains from the past,
But just a clear, ordinary window...
