The Seed
How many of you have stopped and stared at a tree,
And wondered to yourself, how it came to be?
It once was a tiny seed, wanting to be tall,
Waiting day after day for his special call.
As the seed grew, troubles came his way,
They tried to distract it, tried to make him stray.
But the seed, a seed no longer,
Kept going, while getting stronger.
When the seed was halfway through his path,
He met some other seedlings, and suffered their wrath.
They hurt him and tried to bring him down,
But the seedling got right back up, and turned around.
This new path led him far away,
To a land never known.
Here he made the future,
And the journey his own.
