a prayer to plant myself into your heart
ask me what to do as i lie in mother nature’s cradle,
back stroked by the smooth fingers of clovers,
protected by bunched needles of lean pine fathers.
let my eyes fall to you,
little floret who rises taller than the weeds,
who shines brighter than the sun even when dressed in cumuli.
  make me feel safe,
like no other place could be home like these greens,
like only these threads of grass could touch my arms.
  and help me
to be able to close my eyes like flower buds,
to let myself fall into sun ray warmth in satisfaction.
let me find joy in the kelly green veins
that branch out like my mind to yours,
that give me the strength to tell you what i wish of us.
tell me if i should grab the ribbed stem
like i would grab your calloused hand,
  so we may connect.
