So many girls out there are athletic and play every sport,
But there are always a few girls that read in the back of the room.
She’ll sit with her piles of books and read every one of them;
With each book comes a new interest and genre,
A new face that she makes when she gets confused
These are the girls that will fix a broken heart without trying
The girls that will tear down everything you have,
While also putting you back together.
Conversations about her books will spark her imagination,
And she will tell you the whole plot and her favorite characters,
While you fall in love with every word she has been saying.
If you see her after school,
And she sees the rain, she will run into it.
She’ll be mesmerized by the lightning flashing various colors,
And you’ll be mesmerized by the way you can see it all in her eyes.
Thunderstorms are her way of connecting to the world,
and reading her books is a way of escaping reality.
A girl that changed my perspective on life.
My whole world changed when I saw her.
She was reading in the back of the room,
And I fell in love with the way she told me every detail
Chapter after chapter, she would get so frustrated
With her favorite characters and how they should be together;
It was like the way I felt for her.
She would run into the rain and watch every streak of lightning
Wondering when and where the next one would be.
I was mesmerized by the way she stood tall
Watching every streak and every drop of rain.
Her hair fell in her face and I loved the way she would giggle.
Fall for the girls who like books and thunderstorms;
They are the ones who tend to fix a broken heart
The ones who don’t know about the shining in their eyes
They don’t know how breathtaking they really are.
I fell for the girl who enjoyed
Books and Thunderstorms,
And I continue to fall for her every day.

I was inspired by looking at my bestfriend and falling in love. It was the best bad decision I have ever made, and I wouldn't change anything of it for the world.
