The Ship

The Sun was like fire
being smothered by dark clouds
high above sea level
casting roiling shadows
and surrounding the ship with
bleakness.
The Boat cut through
foaming white water
like a knife through flesh
as it forged ahead.
The Iceberg awaiting the ship patiently
like a preying white apparition
like an angel.
All of a sudden,
a shiver, a shudder.
Eventually,
A doomed romantic love story
terminated.
