Most people believe in the innocence of Children
Fresh to the world, like fresh snow
Too young to be tainted by the mud.
Most people are wrong, you know.
I knew a girl who was damned from birth.
I saw it. I saw her being dragged into its orbit.

The wicked in the world has a pull.
If you get too close, you’ll get drawn in too.
I saw it happen,
And when you love someone, you hurt with them.

From a young age, I learned to repel.
I had tough skin.
If you care about nothing, you never get hurt.
If you love nobody, your heart will never be bruise,
But if you care and love for none, none will care and love for you.
I wanted to be loved without having to love.
Breaking hearts is easier than being the broken one.

I am the reincarnate.
A purpose on the earth that was evident at birth,
But since has faded.
Ivy climbed the walls of my soul.
It protected what lie underneath.

Every time she cut herself,
The scars would appear on my wrists,
and my leaves died.
My walls collapsed,
And I remembered how it felt to feel.

This is a piece about someone I used to hold very dear to my heart. She went down a very dark path and I watched it happen, but I could do nother to stop her. Although I loved her very much, I couldn't try to get involved or keep her from her self destruction because if I knew I did I would get pulled in too. Never the less, watching her go through everything she went through hurt me espeically because I felt so helpless.
