A Quaint Meadow
A Quaint little meadow
In a nameless place
A slumbering tree on a hilltop
Leaves unfurling, Reaching its arms to the sky
The blue sky
Overarching, Always watching
A hawk sharply gazing
Pursuing, persevering
A yellow canary singing
Voice uplifting, sweet melody carrying
The rolling hills
Filled with green and full of patience
A lone flower sprouting
Soon to be joined by others
Connecting, supporting, empowering
Perhaps
It is not so quaint
After all

I wanted to write a piece about nature and the coming of spring, but also how there is more than what meets the eye at first glance. This incorporated perseverance, ambition, supporting others, and connecting, although it was not very obvious. I tried to illustrate how nature, people, and everything can be much more than you think if you look closer.
