When I Go Home
When you go home alone at night, what occupies your mind?
Is it thoughts of smiles, laughter, good old times?
If so, then good for you
All I remember is my crimes
I lie awake at night, mulling it over
I think, “Where did I go wrong?”
The loathing looms like Goliath
How can I ever become strong?
The thought keeps coming back
It doesn't want to go away
Though I've no time for it,
Sadness must have its say.
I'll tell it to leave
Say that it's unwanted
But that wench won't go
My sanity becomes taunted
Can't let you in
Though you just want to aid
I must go in alone
But I am now betrayed
Darkness creeping in on me
I am slowly ceasing to be
Depression is no fun
My death shows that it's won
