First Day at School
Weird gazes everywhere,
Follow me where I go,
They judge me without knowing me,
They make me feel very low
The teacher gives me an odd look,
When I explain how I learn,
She looks angry and serious
What exactly have I done?
I can't even eat lunch,
The food in the canteen smells bad
Anyways i'd be sitting alone
The stares and whispers make me mad
The girls make snide comments,
They are backstabbing and leery,
I'm trying so hard to fit in,
Why can't they just let me be?
I have a brilliant plan,
I am so running away,
I am never ever coming back,
I don't care what they have to say!
Therefore, the first day of school,
Didn't go all that well,
Just let me become a oyster in a clam
And I'll never come out of my shell!

This poem just hit me when I joined a new school after being in another one for 9 years. I am positive many others have felt this way, and here are my feelings, in words!
