Summer Time
Summer has always been my favorite season, but
This was the summer everything was going to change.
Everyone will be going off to college, the military, some were just leaving. I say it every summer,
but this summer had to be the best one yet.
The people you see everyday, the hallways you walk through, suddenly it’ll all be gone.
I am 18, with so many choices to make.
What college should I go to?
Where should I live?
What should I do with my life?
I remember a few years ago
Things were more simple back then.
We’d play video games till the sun came up
And talk about our “big” problems.
There are things you have to learn on your own.
Like how to be happy
Or what really matters
This summer I learned how to wish on stars.
