Shifting thrillers lurk behind the visible,

forgotten, invisible, except by sterile stabs.

Once purposefully punctured, the secrets such as these

ooze out the juices of resigned wildness:

excruciating thought and utopia combined.

The quietly  wrought shadows and whispers

which we so easily mistake for hapless twitches

of fate, wheel by us on time’s alley,

unnoticed, unwanted, unheeded, unwatched.

Beneath their silent faces there lies, deeply,

a world of riches unbeknownst to all except

the truly wise and compassionate man.

Takes an entity, event, a thought; carefully

circles, devises strategy.  Dives.  Slowly.

Orbits closer, force escalates.  Mental

gymnastics spin.  Analysis drops lower.

Sticky ended threads float, reaching for

narrower and wider circuits.  Orbit exhausted.

Opinion formed.  Argument constructed.

Mission accomplished.
