How Typical
Gender Stereotypes.
What are those?
They say that they're extinct,
but we all know that's not true.
They say women and men
are equal.
We are not equal.
Men do not respect women.
Men are no better than women.
Women do not need men,
a lesson learned by my mother.
Women can succeed.
Women can achieve.
Women can stay at home
if they please.
But we are not fragile.
We are strong.
I can change a lightbulb,
I can cook a meal.
Why do I make a quarter less?
Is it wrong to be female?
Is my work less fulfilling?
No.
Stand tall women.
Our time will come.
