A pain that no one knows

As a sad smile glows

A silver curve for each blow

Going deeper, deeper

Redder, redder

Scarlet stripes from slivered gold.

Gold of meaty flesh petaled as

Red wipes away

And leaves an orange metal.

Iron starts to flow

And beads upon a cotton sheet,

As silver soars.

Falls

          down

                      down

                                   upon a worn wood floor.

                                    Frantically.

In the quiet, hiding below,

Is a drip

Drip

Drop from fingers curled,

chocolate shavings on snow.
