The True Essence of the Stars
You know, you’re still in my head.
Your skin, creamy white, silky smooth, softer than velvet
Your dark, shiny hair, slippery against mine
Your chocolatey eyes that used to contain an outpouring of love.
But now I see the ice on your fingertips,
The swirl of frosty mist that surrounds you.
Your walk, once a cool swagger,
Is now an indifferent stride, void of emotion, full of control
And I can feel your icicles, sharp as knives,
When your name enters my mind
