Joshua B.
There was a boy named Joshua B.
An interesting child who had the power to see
He wanted to change the world
The place from which he was hurled
Smiling larger than the world was Joshua B.
Who chose to fight instead of flee
With enough strength to move a mountain
Throwing pennies into the fountain
Wishing for an adventure was Joshua B.
To afraid to live and to afraid to die was he
Trying to wash away with the waves of the sea
Hoping for something the world couldn't be
Rising with the moon was Joshua B.
Crying out to the eldest tree
Doing whatever it takes to feel free
Poor Joshua B. hoping for something he cannot see
The one with the largest smile was only around for a little while

I have had trouble with depression and anxiety and books and stories help me escape. Unfortunatley I eventually have to come back to real life. I feel like real life is so boring and I can't see what is right in front of me. I just put on a smile and try to carry on, which is what I based this poem from.
