Plastic
They say a single lid is..well..
a mistake.
They say a double lid is..well..
beautiful.
They value the thin crease above the eye.
I wasn’t born with one of those.
I don’t care either.
Why cut and stitch you skin?
To become another twin of everyone else.
I believe in standing out.
Being somewhat different.
I think it’s just sad to see people
so desperately try
to change
the
way they are.
No one is perfect.
No one should be perfect.
We all are born the way we are.
The others who decided too are
another plastic doll on a stand.
Beauty isn’t about big eyes, hourglass curves, fluttery lashes.
Beauty is accepting the way you look.
If others don’t think your beautiful?
Ignore them.
Take their comments with a
grain
of
salt.

I was inspired by the book : The Fold. Which is about a single lidded girl who has the chance to change the way she looks. I have a single lid and I heard about plastic surgury. I think people should be able to embrace the way they are, not change themselves.
