Truth of the Imagination
I started with
my rainbow unicorn friends
who brought me around their candy cane neighborhood.
All of the other villagers greeted me warmly and
showed me true friendship.
I grew some more;
I wanted to be a hero.
To have the powers to
save people.
To make a difference.
I got a little older, but not by much.
I wore the emerald ball gown
and the golden tiara.
Searched for my knight,
who thought I was his world.
My emotions heightened.
My dreams were more realistic than before.
My desire for him
to hold my hand.
To look at me with his affectionate blue gaze.
Now all of my fantasies have become reality.
He is my best friend.
I made happiness possess his life.
I am everything to him.
He watches over me with his loving eyes.
