Jealous

It’s foreign to me,
I’ve always been unashamed, grounded, proud…
even when I shouldn’t be.
I’ve been told I shouldn’t be,
but I am.
I was taught to be,
before I was told anything-
and if jealousy is what I think it is,
then I’m jealous of those,
who were told before they were taught.
