“I’m scared to come to school,” I say
liar liar
“I feel invisible,” I cry
liar liar
See these bruises?
I’m hit, I’m hurt
liar liar
I flinch, I wince
when they reach out
liar liar
Stop!
Ask the silent one
across the yard
he watched as I was hit
Ask the quiet one
sitting there
she saw the messages they sent
“You weren’t touched,” they say
liar liar
“You’re making it up,” they chant
liar liar
