I don’t mind giving second chances.

I’ve gotten pretty used to it
In these past fifteen years.
I don’t mind if they blow
Their second chance, or take
Me for granted, if
It’s not someone I love.
However, I don’t approve
Of a friend I respect
Being taken for granted. I’ve
Tried giving second chances
Without success. I shouldn’t
Care to see my best friend
Befriend someone like that. Even if she
Didn't give them not one chance.
Their friendship isn't so great.
It is certainly horrible.
I’m sure, if given another chance,
They’d show us why they can’t be trusted.
And you must admit, life is better without them.
