I am an animal with soft skin that is
Being held by someone.
My fur is smooth as a fleece quilt
I look tame as a house kitten, with
Eyes that are darker than the sky at night.
I have long pointy pokey ears.
My legs are being held tightly together by
Smooth looking skin.
I have long lanky legs, with thin twiglike hooves.
I have dappled white dots.
My mom still cares for me and keeps me safe.
We walk all about the trees
Our legs take us where we need to go
The fresh greens are all we need along with some
Fresh water.
People prey on us but I know that we can out smart
Them.
I refuse to be killed and cooked for someone’s stew
For dinner.
We will run for our lives as longs we can, and we are
Always on the look out.
