Caged Animals
All I ever wanted was to feel free,
to leave all the politics and all the hatred.
But I can’t do anything, cause I’m just me.
I guess it's all about money and fame.
We all need to stop trying to be the same
Everyone just needs to be themselves,
and stop creating chaos in the world.
To stop with all the murder and all the drugs.
But it’s not our fault.
It’s the society, making people feel
left out and changing their ways.
I wish I was more important.
To be able to make a difference.
But I can’t. Because I don’t have any power.
If I were more respected, I could
tell everyone it was good to be themselves.
That it’s good to be different and wild.
It could be the revolution of lost souls.
The souls that were thrown away, by people
who wanted to be alike.
But society keeps the citizens in groups.
They want us to be someone we aren’t,
a different person with a different personality.
Maybe they do it for power,
maybe for money.
But it’s not right.
They should just let us be who we were born to be.
It’s our lives,
and no one can take that away.
There might be people who tell us what to do,
but the other people tell us to do what we want to do.
It’s right to have some rules, just not as much as we have now.
Maybe if everyone accepted each other,
we would all be happier with what we’ve got.
Happiness.
It seems to bring everyone together.
It’s what we need the most.
Happiness can solve many problems,
It could solve society, and it can change lives.
We’re all caged animals, waiting to be let out .
