Sunrise Avenue
I am waiting for the moment,
My favorite chewing gum in my mouth
And the taste of lip balm on my tongue
I am sitting next to my sister,
Thousands of talking people around us;
Anticipation everywhere.
The sun is blinding me, I close my eyes.
The tickle of the sun’s rays on my skin,
Like I am enclosed in a cocoon of warm water.
Smelling all this food and beer, strong perfume, and aftershave,
Cigarette smoke all around me
Sitting heavily on my chest.
I feel dizzy but I enjoy the moment-
because I know he is worth it.
Girls start screaming and I know it’s happening.
His lovely, deep voice enchants my ears,
hums in my chest
like the bass of guitar and drums.
Thus he is standing there,
surrounded by fog,
he seems bright like the North star
and the lighting effects his shooting stars.
