Nature; A force that is as beautiful as it is ugly
The old branches of the mighty oak tree
Wave back and forth.
The leaves seem full of joy as they
Dance in the wind.
Shining bright, the sun
Stands watch over the many things
It gives life to.
From the smallest of insects
To the largest of creatures.
The birds screech at
Each other as if they are
In a debate, “Caw, Caw!”
The buzz of bee’s as they maneuver
From flower to flower like a
Well-oiled machine.
But it’s not always clear skies
And smooth sailing.
Severe winds can seize the mighty
Oak tree and send it sailing across
The forest.
The sun can bring deadly
Heat and scorch the surface
Of the earth.
An element of nature,
The ocean, may look clam
But can suddenly turn into
Towering waves of death.
Nature is a cruel beast, that
Will chew you up and
Spit you out.
But it is also a magnificent
Force that gives life.
