It’s Friday night
Calc test on Monday
I’m going out
I’ll be up all night
Problem after problem I practice
Shot after shot I take
I’m worries about my grades
I’m worried about the cops
My parents would kill me
If I fail my test
If I got caught
So I have to keep studying if
I want to get into a good college
So I’m not driving
I’m nervous for college---------------------I can’t wait for college
All the parties
All the homework
All the new people
All the labs
It’s Saturday morning
3 am creeps up on you like
A killer in the dark of the night
Head spinning like a top nonstop
I close my books
I drop my drink
It’s Saturday afternoon
I awaken in my bed
I get up off the floor
I had a long night, time to prepare for more.

This is a spoken poem, I wrote this because of the differences between the teens in my school showing how different lifestyles can be similer, yet so different.
