I Didn't Know Her
I didn't know her
We had been together
Since we were infants
Best friends
But now
I didn't know her
I thought I knew her
But she hid from me
Like a child
Staying by their mother's side
when meeting a stranger
Like she didn't know me
When I knew her
The movies
The only place I would see her
Together every summer
This time the tired tradition was at an end
Because she didn't know me
Wishing we knew each other
Years later
We don't talk
Nor see each other
I miss her
Now that I no longer know her

This poem is about a friend that I had for years and we slowly started drifting apart. The last time I saw her was years ago.
