Memories
The day I became a Big Sister
The day I will never forget
The day I had always dreamed of
Having someone that would look up to me
Having someone that I could dress up
Having someone that I could take everywhere with me
Through this path I have and still am learning new things
Learning how to share
Learning how to take care of someone
Learning to put someone else’s values before my own
I had to become someone that my little sister would one day be proud to call her Big Sister
Becoming a teacher
Becoming a leader
Becoming a mentor
The day I will never forget
The day I will memorize
It was around midnight when my mother was rushed to the hospital that night
It was around 6 a.m., when I was awaken
It was around 6 a.m., when the doctor said to me,
“Are you ready to meet your baby sister?”
From the moment I saw her
To the moment I held her
I immediately fell in love
Now I know that for the rest of my life, I will always be a Big Sister
Now I choose to be the best Big Sister
