summer time
As waves of memories of summer run through my mind
And I begin to remember a simpler time
When things were just fun and games
But know it’s almost feels like I can’t feel my shame
As summer fades to winter my memories do as well
As my mid-life crisis turns to hell
I feel like my lungs are filled with water
As my life just melts like butter
But as winter fades back to summer
Everything just seems a lot funner
I start to encounter a spectacle
And everything turns unforgettable
It’s weird how things overlap and change
It’s really something quite strange
I remember being cold and lost
But now this cold hell begins to defrost
And I begin to see a new light
And the black in me turns back to white
