A Week of Tears
August 20, 2015
A lifetime of tears has passed this week by
Droplets of sorrow, loss, joy and reflection
13 separate times I have cried
Sometimes for hours, minutes or even just seconds.
Sorrow hurts like hell,
Loss is hard to bear
Joy is overwhelming and
Reflection makes us scared.
Tears feel all the same whether cloudy or clear,
Stitches and band aids to patch up a heart on the mend.
When the start seems long ago, and the finish so near,
I wonder of love is ever worth it in the end.
